Terms of Use for Police Jobs App

Effective Date: June, 2025

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using the Police Jobs App (“the App”), you represent and warrant that you are at least eighteen (18) years of age and legally competent to enter into these Terms of Use. If you do not meet this age requirement —or if you otherwise disagree with these Terms—please do not use the App. Police Jobs App, LLC. (“Provider”) reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time, with notice provided to users.

2. Purpose of the App

Police Jobs App is designed to support users in exploring law enforcement career opportunities by providing recruitment resources and tools for candidate engagement. The App does not guarantee employment, nor does it influence hiring decisions made by any agency. All App functionality is subject to ongoing security and availability controls to protect user data and maintain consistent service operation.

3. User Accounts

To access App features, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information and maintain the confidentiality of your login details. You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. We enforce role-based access controls and periodic access reviews to ensure only authorized individuals manage and maintain user accounts. Any unauthorized access attempts may trigger an internal incident response process.

4. Rights to Your Content

By using the Police Jobs App and submitting any content through your account, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms regarding “Your Content.”

Responsibility for Content: You are solely responsible for Your Content, which includes any information, images, videos, text, ideas, or other materials you submit or authorize for use on the Police Jobs App.Ownership and License Grant: Police Jobs App does not claim ownership over Your Content; however, by submitting or authorizing us to display Your Content, you grant us a worldwide, unrestricted, irrevocable, perpetual, non-exclusive, fully paid, and royalty-free license (with rights to sublicense) to use, reproduce, copy, process, modify, publish, translate, transmit, perform, display, create derivative works of, adapt, and distribute Your Content in any media now known or later developed. This includes the right to display your name, image, likeness, voice, video, and any other content provided by you in connection with our services, including promotional uses.Waiver of Moral Rights: To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, you waive any moral rights associated with Police Jobs App’s use of Your Content as authorized by this license.Content Distribution and Promotion: This license grants Police Jobs App the right to provide, promote, and enhance our services through the use of Your Content. Police Jobs App may share Your Content with other entities, including companies, organizations, or individuals, for syndication, broadcast, distribution, promotion, or publication on other platforms or media, in accordance with our terms. No Compensation: You agree that you are not entitled to any compensation for the submission, display, or distribution of Your Content through the Police Jobs App.Recording of Audio/Video Events: Police Jobs App may host and record live audio or video events. By attending or participating in such events, you consent to the recording and agree that all rights, title, and interest in these recordings belong to the Police Jobs App.Content Responsibility and Suggestions: You should only submit content you are comfortable sharing under these terms. By providing ideas, suggestions, documents, feedback, or proposals (“Submissions”) to the Police Jobs App, you acknowledge and agree that the Police Jobs App may use, disclose, reproduce, license, distribute, and otherwise exploit these Submissions without obligation or restriction of any kind regarding intellectual property rights or otherwise.

We implement data classification and encryption measures for user-generated content to help protect confidentiality and integrity. All content uploads or communications may be monitored for security and compliance with our policies.

5. App Content & Services

The services offered by Police Jobs App may include content provided by us, users, advertisers, and other third parties. By using the services, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

The services may display or link to third-party content, including advertisements and sponsored material. The presence and placement of such ads and the criteria for targeting them may change over time. You agree that we may incorporate advertisements in connection with the display of any content, including Your Content, without obligation to notify you.Police Jobs App does not assume responsibility for or endorse any third-party content, including linked material, advertisements, or details about third-party products or services, job listings, employer or salary information provided by others, or opinions expressed by other users, including participants in audio or video discussions or any transcriptions, captions, or translations.We do not guarantee the accuracy, timeliness, appropriateness, reliability, or quality of information or content found on or linked through our services, including any translations, transcriptions, or captions.Police Jobs App disclaims liability for any unintended, offensive, incorrect, misleading, or unlawful content provided by users, advertisers, or third parties.

We conduct vendor and third-party due diligence to ensure that any external services or integrations meet our security and compliance standards. This includes periodic assessments of data protection and confidentiality measures.

6. Using Police Jobs App Services

Police Jobs App, LLC provides various services that may evolve or change over time at our sole discretion.Whether or not you have created an account, your use of our services may involve the processing of your personal data, as detailed in our Privacy Policy. This includes data necessary for offering and maintaining services for you, other users, and the public, as well as for improving and managing the services. We may collect and share personal data with third-party service providers acting on our behalf, including analytics providers that track and log activities on our services (e.g., text entries, visited pages, and interactions). By using our services, you agree to such data processing and sharing practices.We may allow users to join newsfeed threads for discussion and community-building with other users. Police Jobs App is not responsible for the actions taken by users of any thread, who may not claim to represent or act on behalf of Police Jobs App. We reserve the right to limit or revoke a user’s ability to lead a newsfeed discussion, with or without reason, including for violations of these Terms.Our services may include job search functionality and personalized job recommendations. We may also facilitate job application submissions through our services, often in partnership with our affiliates. When you submit a job application using the “apply” button or similar functionality, the application is directed to the most suitable contact information we or our affiliates have for that employer.While we and our affiliates aim to provide a seamless application experience, employer websites and their third-party providers are beyond our control. We cannot guarantee that applications submitted through our services will be properly received or processed by third-party employers. If you believe your application has not been received, we encourage you to contact the agency (i.e., employer) directly for confirmation.All data-processing activities (including user activity logs, and analytics) are monitored and retained for a defined period to ensure accountability and support audit requirements.

7. Your Identity on Police Jobs App

Police Jobs App, LLC may provide you with various options for managing how your personal data and identity are displayed to other users, employers, and the public, depending on the specific services you use.Certain parts of your profile in our community and interactive features may always be public. This means that your profile picture, name, and general profile information (excluding semi-anonymous content submissions) can be visible to the public and accessible through search functions. We strive to offer services that enable you to maintain a level of anonymity. However, you acknowledge that the Police Jobs App cannot guarantee complete anonymity. Depending on the specific details of your situation and the content you submit, especially when combined with other details like your location, could potentially be used to identify you or narrow down your identity to a smaller group (e.g., employees in a specific department at your agency). You should understand and consider these risks before submitting content to the services.

8. User Conduct

To maintain a respectful and productive environment within the Police Jobs App, all users are expected to adhere to standards of professional and respectful behavior. Disruptive behavior, including but not limited to harassment, bullying, or the use of offensive or profane language in any part of the App—such as chats, newsfeeds, or profiles—is strictly prohibited.Users agree not to engage in any conduct that could harm, threaten, or disrupt the experience of other users or interfere with Police Jobs App’s operations. Any violation of this policy may result in warnings, suspension, or termination of your account, at Police Jobs App’s sole discretion, without prior notice. Repeated violations may lead to permanent account termination. Police Jobs App reserves the right to moderate, delete, or restrict content deemed inappropriate or disruptive to the community’s standards.Prohibited ConductBy using Police Jobs App, you agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions, including the following restrictions on prohibited conduct. You agree that you will not:

Impersonation and Misrepresentation: Impersonate another person, use their email address or photo, or misrepresent any documentation in order to earn badges.Police Jobs App may suspend or terminate access, at its sole discretion, for content (e.g., videos, photographs, and posts) that is misleading, unprofessional, or inconsistent with the mission to seek employment or learn best recruitment practices.Fraudulent Accounts: Create accounts under false or fraudulent pretenses, create or use an account for anyone other than yourself, or maintain multiple active accounts to submit content or interact with other users.Unauthorized Content Submission: Submit content you do not own or have the right to submit in accordance with the license outlined in these Terms.Violation of Terms, Community Guidelines, and Laws: Act in violation of these Terms, explicit restrictions in our Community Guidelines, or any applicable law, rule, or regulation.Defamatory or Misleading Content: Submit content that is defamatory, libelous, fraudulent, or knowingly false or misleading, or that does not reflect your honest opinion and authentic experience.Harassment and Objectionable Behavior: Engage in behavior that is harassing, trolling, threatening, abusive, racist, bigoted, or otherwise objectionable, as determined solely by Police Jobs App.Discriminatory Practices in Communities: Discriminate in granting access to groups or communities you create, manage, or lead within the Police Jobs App. Company-related communities should be accessible to any verified users associated with that company.Illegal Activities: Promote, endorse, or further any illegal activities.Disclosure of Confidential Information: Disclose information in violation of any legally enforceable confidentiality, non-disclosure, or other contractual restrictions, including information from current or former employers.Infringement of Third-Party Rights: Violate the privacy, publicity, copyright, patent, trademark, trade secret, or other intellectual property rights of any third party.Sexually Explicit Content: Submit content that is pornographic, sexually explicit, or exploits individuals in a sexual or violent manner.Solicitation of Minors’ Data: Solicit or submit personal data of minors.Unapproved Commercial Activities: Except as expressly permitted, use Police Jobs App for commercial activities such as contests, sweepstakes, barter, advertising, affiliate links, or other forms of solicitation.Misrepresentation of Endorsement: Imply any endorsement, sponsorship, or partnership with Police Jobs App or its affiliates without our express written permission.Violation of Anti-Spam Laws: Send messages in violation of the CAN-SPAM Act or other applicable anti-spam laws.Automated Access and Data Mining: Introduce software or automated agents, or access Police Jobs App to create multiple accounts, generate automated messages, or scrape, strip, or mine data without our express written permission.Unauthorized Framing or Linking: “Frame,” “mirror,” or incorporate parts of Police Jobs App into another website, or “deep-link” to any portion of the services without our express written consent, except where functionality is provided via an API or embedding feature.Unauthorized Use of Content: Copy, modify, or create derivative works of Police Jobs App content (excluding Your Content) without our express written permission.Competitive Use of Data: Copy or use information, content, or data from Police Jobs App to support a competitive service, as solely determined by Police Jobs App.Anticompetitive Behavior: Engage in conduct that violates antitrust laws, including sharing commercially sensitive information in restraint of trade.Monetization of Access: Sell, resell, rent, lease, loan, trade, or otherwise monetize access to Police Jobs App or any content (excluding Your Content) without our express written permission.Interference with Functionality: Interfere with, disrupt, modify, reverse engineer, or decompile any data, code, or functionality within the Police Jobs App.Service Disruption: Create an undue burden on Police Jobs App or the networks connected to it, or interfere with the experience of other users.Introduction of Harmful Software: Introduce any viruses, trojan horses, worms, time bombs, cancelbots, corrupted files, or other harmful code or software to Police Jobs App, or attempt to circumvent any security features.

9. Privacy and Data Use

By using the App, you consent to our collection, use, and sharing of your data as described in our Privacy Policy. Your personal data, device data, and location data (when submitted) are processed to operate and improve App functionality. We adhere to a documented data retention schedule and employ encryption for sensitive information in transit and at rest

10. Leaderboard and Rankings

Police Jobs App may feature a leaderboard ranking users based on engagement metrics, such as profile completeness, badge earnings, and activity level. These rankings are for preparation and engagement tracking only and are not associated with any law enforcement agency’s hiring decisions. Police Jobs App disclaims any responsibility or liability related to employment outcomes based on leaderboard placement.

Waiver of Claims: You agree that leaderboard standings cannot be used as grounds for legal action or damages should you not receive a job offer.

11. No Guarantee of Employment

The App provides tools to support recruitment preparation and engagement but does not guarantee employment or hiring recommendations. Use of the App does not create an employment contract or imply an offer of employment.

12. Notifications and Alerts

By using the App, you consent to receive notifications related to job listings, app features, and relevant updates. You may adjust your communication preferences within App settings.

13. Communications

By creating an account, you consent to receive communications from Police Jobs App, LLC (“Provider”), its affiliates, agencies, and third-party service providers. For the purposes of these Terms, “affiliates” refers to any entity that directly or indirectly controls, is controlled by, or is under common control with Police Jobs App, now or in the future. “Control” refers to the ownership of a majority of voting shares or the authority to direct management. “Agencies” includes law enforcement agencies, police departments, security companies, police academies, and similar organizations affiliated with Police Jobs App’s services.Communications may be sent by email, text message, phone call, push notifications, or other methods. You acknowledge and agree that you may receive communications generated by automatic telephone dialing systems, delivering pre-recorded messages sent by or on behalf of Police Jobs App, its affiliates, agencies, and/or third-party service providers. These communications may include information about your account, services provided by Police Jobs App, and services offered by affiliates and agencies. Message and data rates may apply based on your service plan. To unsubscribe from non-essential emails, please use the unsubscribe link or email settings option included in the email. If you opt out of only a specific type of email (e.g., police job alerts), you will continue to receive other types of emails. In-app and device settings may also be used to manage push notification preferences.Certain essential communications related to your account and use of Police Jobs App (e.g., updates to these Terms) are required and cannot be opted out of unless you choose to delete your account.14. Recruitment Coaching Chat Program Terms (“Supplemental Terms”)

14.1 Eligibility & Capacity.

You represent that you (a) are at least eighteen (18) years old and legally competent to enter into this Agreement, and (b) are accessing the Recruitment Coaching Chat for your own personal, non-commercial purposes.

14.2 Informational-Only Services.

Any information, guidance, or opinions (“Information”) conveyed during a video chat, telephone call, asynchronous message, or other interaction facilitated by the Police Jobs application (the “Recruitment Coaching Chat”) are provided solely for general educational purposes. No Information constitutes legal, medical, mental-health, financial, fitness, or employment-placement advice; no warranty is made as to hiring success, CJSTC or POST-exam results, or any future eligibility for law-enforcement employment. You agree to seek advice from qualified professionals before acting on the information.

14.3 No Professional Relationship.

Participation in a Recruitment Coaching Chat does not create an attorney–client, recruiter–candidate, fiduciary, or other professional relationship between you and Police Jobs, LLC. (“Company”) or its personnel, even if the presenter is a licensed professional. No privilege attaches.

14.4 Conflict-of-Interest Restriction.

The Recruitment Coaching Chat service is unavailable to any individual who is an applicant, candidate, or otherwise engaged in recruitment, background investigation, sponsorship, or employment with the City of Miami Police Department. By scheduling a Recruitment Coaching Chat you warrant that no such relationship exists. If your status changes, you must cancel immediately (§ 14.6).

14.5 Fees, Payments & Refunds.

Unless the Recruitment Coaching Chat is expressly offered to you free of charge, any Recruitment Coaching Chat fees (plus applicable taxes) are due in full at the time of booking through the third-party payment processor identified at checkout. All such fees are non-refundable once the earlier of (a) the scheduled start time, or (b) twenty-four (24) hours after booking, except where prohibited by law. Processor terms govern chargebacks and reversals.

14.6 Rescheduling & Cancellation.

You may reschedule or cancel up to twenty-four (24) hours before the scheduled start time via scheduling site; otherwise the session is deemed delivered and fees are forfeited. Company reserves the right to reschedule for cause or platform unavailability.

14.7 Recording, Privacy & License.

Recruitment Coaching Chats may be monitored or recorded for quality assurance, training, and product-improvement purposes. By participating you (a) consent to such recording, (b) grant Company a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, display, and distribute the recording in accordance with the Privacy Policy, and (c) agree not to record, reproduce, or distribute any part of the Recruitment Coaching Chat without Company’s prior written consent. Do not disclose sensitive personal data you do not wish recorded.

14.8 Assumption of Risk; Disclaimer of Warranties.

You assume full responsibility for any actions taken—or not taken—based on the Information. The Recruitment Coaching Chat is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, Company disclaims all warranties—express, implied, or statutory—including fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, and freedom from errors or system interruptions.

14.9 Limitation of Liability.

In no event will Company’s aggregate liability arising out of or related to a Recruitment Coaching Chat exceed the greater of (i) one-hundred U.S. dollars (US $100) or (ii) the amount you actually paid for that Recruitment Coaching Chat. Company will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or opportunities, even if advised of the possibility. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain damages; in such jurisdictions Company’s liability is limited to the extent permitted by law.

14.10 Indemnification.

You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Company and its officers, directors, employees, agents, licensors, and contractors from and against any third-party claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to (a) your use of or reliance on any Information, (b) your breach of these Supplemental Terms, or (c) any content you submit during the Recruitment Coaching Chat.

14.11 Arbitration & Class-Action Waiver.

Any dispute arising from these Supplemental Terms or a Recruitment Coaching Chat will be resolved by binding arbitration under the Federal Arbitration Act before a single arbitrator in Miami-Dade County, Florida. Class or representative actions are not permitted. Either party may seek injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction for misuse of intellectual property or violation of confidentiality.

14.12 Force Majeure.

Company is not liable for any failure or delay in performance due to causes beyond its reasonable control, including network outages, natural disasters, labor disputes, governmental actions, or acts of God.

14.13 Governing Law & Venue.

These Supplemental Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, excluding its conflicts-of-law rules. Exclusive jurisdiction and venue reside in the state or federal courts located in Miami-Dade County, Florida for any matter not subject to arbitration.

14.14 Severability; English Controlling.

If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force. The English version of these Supplemental Terms controls over translations.

14.15 Entire Agreement.

These Supplemental Terms supplement—and are incorporated into—the Police Jobs App Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. If a conflict arises, these Supplemental Terms control with respect to any Recruitment Coaching Chat.

15. Intellectual Property Rights

The services provided by Police Jobs App contain content created by us and our licensors. Police Jobs App, LLC and our licensors (including other users) own and retain all proprietary and intellectual property rights in the content each provides, and Police Jobs App retains all rights in the services. If you are an authorized user, Police Jobs App grants you a limited, revocable, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license under the rights licensable by us to access and use the services and view content from our services solely for your personal, non-commercial use in connection with the services.Except as expressly allowed in this section, you agree not to:

Reproduce, modify, publish, transmit, distribute, publicly perform or display, sell, adapt, or create derivative works based on the services or content (excluding Your Content); orRent, lease, loan, or sell access to the services.

The trademarks, logos, and service marks (“Marks”) displayed on the services are the property of Police Jobs App or third-party licensors. You are not permitted to use these Marks without prior written consent from Police Jobs App or the respective third-party owner of the Mark. Police Jobs App, LLC reserves all rights not expressly granted in these Terms.All content and intellectual property in the App, including logos, designs, graphics, and software, are owned by Police Jobs App, LLC. Unauthorized use of content is prohibited. Our internal policy mandates periodic intellectual property audits to ensure compliance with all rights and licenses. We promptly remove infringing content upon notice or discovery.

16. Disclaimer of Warranties

Police Jobs App provides services “as is” and disclaims all warranties, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, secure, or error-free service and are not responsible for information accuracy or app reliability.

17. Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Police Jobs App, LLC, its affiliates, subsidiaries, and their respective officers, directors, board members, advisors, employees, partners, agents, successors, and assigns (collectively, the “Police Jobs App Group”) from any loss, liability, claim, or demand, including reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs, made by any third party due to or arising out of your use of the services. This includes, but is not limited to, claims arising from your breach of these Terms or the submission of false information regarding your identity or employment history or status, your use of the App, third-party employment decisions. User agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Police Jobs App, its affiliates, and agents from any claims, injuries, damages, or losses arising out of or related to participation in any badge-earning activity, including but not limited to physical fitness challenges. You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the “Police Jobs App Group for Non-Hiring: By using the App, you agree that the Provider is not liable for non-hiring decisions by any law enforcement agency and agree the use of the App does not guarantee employment.

18. Disclaimers and Limitation on Liability

The following disclaimers and limitations of liability apply to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing in this section is intended to limit any rights you may have that cannot be lawfully limited.

A. Communications Disclaimer

All communications provided by the Police Jobs App, including emails, texts, notifications, or other messages associated with any activity on the services, are offered as a courtesy. Police Jobs App disclaims all warranties related to the transmission or storage of such communications and does not guarantee their delivery or receipt, nor the date or time they may be sent or received. Messages intended for closed or deactivated accounts will not be delivered.

B. Content and Interactions

Police Jobs App assumes no responsibility and disclaims all liability for the content, accuracy, completeness, legality, reliability, or availability of any information, including job postings, instructional videos, badges, quizzes, pre-service courses through a third party vendor, profile data, messages, or content you submit, send, view, or receive through the services. You are solely responsible for your interactions with employers, advertisers, and other users. Police Jobs App is not liable for their activities, omissions, or conduct, whether online or offline.

Police Jobs App is not responsible for incorrect or unlawful content submitted to the services, whether by users or due to technical or operational issues. We are not responsible for any error, interruption, deletion, defect, delay, or unauthorized access affecting communications. Additionally, Police Jobs App is not liable for technical malfunctions of hardware, software, or Internet service issues that impact users or their devices. 

C. Informational DisclaimerThe Police Jobs App (“Platform”) provides position descriptions, minimum qualifications, timelines, and other hiring-related information (“Listing Content”) as a convenience to prospective applicants. While the Platform endeavors to present Listing Content accurately and in good faith, the information is offered “AS IS,” for general guidance only, and may not include every requirement, disqualifier, or procedural step applicable to a given agency or position.Accordingly, each user remains solely responsible for confirming all current eligibility criteria, application deadlines, examination components, and other hiring requirements directly with the relevant law-enforcement agency—typically available on that agency’s official website or through its designated recruiting office. The Platform does not warrant or guarantee the completeness, timeliness, or absolute accuracy of any Listing Content, and disclaims all liability for any loss or inconvenience arising from reliance on such information. By continuing to use the Platform, you acknowledge that:

The Listing Content is not an exhaustive or authoritative statement of agency requirements;The hiring agency’s official communications prevail in the event of any discrepancy; andYou will consult the agency’s publicly posted materials or authorized representatives for definitive guidance before acting on any information found on the Platform.

C. “As-Is” and “As Available” Basis

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS-IS” AND ON AN “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS. POLICE JOBS APP DISCLAIMS ANY AND ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, QUIET ENJOYMENT, ACCURACY, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT: (1) THE SERVICES WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS; (2) THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE; OR (3) THE RESULTS FROM USING THE SERVICES WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE.

D. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL THE POLICE JOBS APP GROUP BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. WHERE PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY OF THE POLICE JOBS APP GROUP FOR ANY DAMAGES ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES (REGARDLESS OF THE FORM OF ACTION) WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).

19. Modification and Discontinuance

Police Jobs App reserves the right to modify, improve, suspend, or discontinue any part of the services or features without notice. You agree that Police Jobs App will not be liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the services or any part thereof. Police Jobs App, LLC reserves the right to revise these Terms from time to time by posting an updated version accessible via a link on the services. If we make changes that we believe materially reduce your rights or increase your responsibilities, we will provide you with prior notice. This notification may be sent via communication methods such as email or text message to the contact information specified in your account and/or by means of a notice on the services before the change becomes effective. YOU AGREE THAT BY ENTERING INTO THESE TERMS, YOU AND POLICE JOBS APP, LLC ARE EACH WAIVING THE RIGHT TO A TRIAL BY JURY OR TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION. YOU AND POLICE JOBS APP, LLC AGREE THAT EACH PARTY MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN YOUR OR ITS INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING. ANY ARBITRATION WILL TAKE PLACE ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS; CLASS ARBITRATIONS AND CLASS ACTIONS ARE NOT PERMITTED.

21. Termination

These Terms remain in effect while you use the services and, for registered users, as long as your account(s) remain open. You may delete your account(s) at any time. Police Jobs App, LLC reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account(s) or access to any part of the services, for any reason or no reason, without prior notice to you. Police Jobs App, LLC shall not be liable to you for any termination of your account(s) or any related deletion of your data.All provisions of these Terms shall survive the termination or expiration of these Terms, except those provisions granting access to or use of the services. For clarity, you agree that these Terms continue to apply to your use of the services and any content submitted to the services at any time prior to the termination or expiration of these Terms. Upon account termination, we follow a secure data disposal policy to remove or anonymize personal data according to our retention schedule.

A. Professional Conduct

You are expected to maintain respectful, professional behavior in all interactions within the Police Jobs App, including profile posts, comments, chats, and direct messages. Disruptive conduct, offensive language, and harassment are strictly prohibited and may result in the suspension or termination of your account. Examples of disruptive conduct include but are not limited to:

Targeted Abuse: Malicious or degrading comments intended to humiliate, target, or harass individuals or groups.

Offensive Language: Use of profane, hateful, or disrespectful language, especially if intended to insult, intimidate, or provoke others.

Hate Speech: Attacks on individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, national origin, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, age, or disability.

Violent Threats and Incitement: Any expression of intent to harm others, including threats of physical violence, harm to property, or incitement of violence against others.

Professional Language: Excessive use of capitalization, filler characters, or incomplete grammar that makes content difficult to understand may be flagged or removed.

C. Privacy and Personal Information

To safeguard user privacy, you may not include any personal identifying information (PII) about yourself or others in your reply posts, or profile. This restriction includes but is not limited to:

Names of individuals or non-public persons.

Contact Information: Email addresses, phone numbers, mailing addresses, or other direct contact details.

Personal Identifiers: Such as social security numbers or other sensitive information.

D. Restrictions on Links and Self-Promotion

Links in user-generated content are generally prohibited. Content that includes advertising, self-promotion, or irrelevant links (e.g., links to external websites, products, or unrelated services) is not allowed and will be removed. Police Jobs App aims to provide a focused environment for law enforcement recruitment and career development.

E. Photo and Media Content Guidelines

Users may upload photos and other media as part of their engagement in the community. However, to maintain professionalism and privacy, the following types of photos are strictly prohibited:

Screenshots: Videoconferencing photos may be posted, but they cannot contain identifying information such as names, locations, or images of minors.

Marketing Material: Do not post photos that include marketing materials, brand logos, or promotional websites.

Individual Portraits: Avoid posting close-up or identifiable portraits of individuals, particularly if unrelated to professional content.

Sensitive or Incriminating Content: Photos that depict workplace violations, patient information (in healthcare settings), or other sensitive matters are not allowed.

Copyrighted Material: Only post photos you own or have permission to use. Copyrighted photos or media are prohibited without proper authorization.

Photos and videos that depict unprofessional, unsafe, or unlawful behavior —including intoxication, reckless firearm handling, gang‑affiliation signs, discriminatory language, or any conduct that undermines public trust—are strictly prohibited and will be removed without notice.

F. Moderation and Enforcement

Police Jobs App moderates user-submitted content through a review process. If content is flagged by other users or detected through our proprietary algorithms, it will undergo further review. Police Jobs App reserves the right to take one or more of the following actions, depending on the nature of the violation:

Flagging or Restricting Content Visibility: Content that violates these guidelines may be flagged for limited visibility or removed.

Warnings and Suspension: Users who repeatedly violate these guidelines may receive warnings, have their accounts temporarily suspended, or, in serious cases, permanently banned.

Permanent Ban: Severe or repeated offenses may result in permanent account deactivation or indefinite suspension from using Police Jobs App.

H. Removal of Content

We may also remove content that we deem, at our sole discretion, inappropriate or not aligned with the professional nature of the App. Please note that the interpretation of our policies and the decision to remove or not remove content are entirely within our sole discretion. By using the App, you understand and agree that if we choose not to remove or edit content that you find objectionable, such a decision will not constitute a violation of these Terms or any agreement we have with you.

I. Enforcement Actions

While Police Jobs App, LLC is not obligated to monitor or enforce compliance with these Terms, we reserve the right to investigate any potential violations and take appropriate action at our sole discretion. Such actions may include, but are not limited to:

Removing content (or portions thereof) from the services.

Suspending some or all of your rights to use the services.

Terminating your account(s) without prior notice.

Reporting you to law enforcement, regulatory authorities, or administrative bodies.

Taking legal action against you for any violations of these Terms or applicable laws.

By using the App, you acknowledge and agree that Police Jobs App, LLC retains full discretion to enforce these Terms as deemed appropriate, including taking actions not explicitly listed here to protect the integrity of the platform and its users.

By following these Community Standards, users contribute to a respectful and professional environment that supports positive engagement and productive conversations related to law enforcement recruitment.
